We are very excited about the March Pick 24 selection! We have decided to jump full force into Spring wine. Starting with the amazing Schlumberger Pinot Gris Les Princes Abbés 2009 and the more exotic Zind-Humbrecht Gewürztraminer 2006, both from the epic region of Alsace, and both dry wines showing well with solid ratings to accompany them.
We didn’t forget Napa’s beautiful Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc at an impressive 93 points from Wine Enthusiast. For all you Spanish wine lovers we have the Baron de ley Rioja 2004 and the Quatro Pasos 2008 that is just fabulous, with 90 point ratings from Wine Advocate… and both under $10!
Lastly, for the first time ever, an Indiana wine made it into our Pick 24 selection. Huber Winery Knobstone Cabernet Franc 2009, with only 142 cases produced, we want to share this award-winning wine with all of you! Indy International Wine Competition not only nominated Ted Huber winemaker of the year, but the 2009 Cabernet Franc also won Indiana-grown Vinifera Wine of the Year.
