Girls Who Swirl- Free Tasting Classes for Women!

wine events indianapolis

I love wine, but let’s face it- the majority of sommeliers and wine stewards are men. Men are more often winemakers, distributors, and sales reps too. Things get even more testosterone-laden when you look at the world of spirits, with male distillers and blenders and marketers all trying to accommodate what they believe to be women’s tastes and preferences.wine events indianapolis

Despite the best intentions of these guys, my female customers are perfectly capable of deciding what they like for themselves. That said I’m very excited to announce the return of a Vine & Table original- Girls Who Swirl. This free, bi-monthly tasting series will allow women to sample a variety of wines and spirits while learning from experts. We’ll go in-depth without the stuffy classroom setting or boring bookwork, and better yet, we will talk about our own impressions of what we taste. No judgment, no pressure- just the opportunity to try new things and learn from each other.

The Girls Who Swirl sessions only require that you register in advance on our event page. Beyond that, all you need to do is show up, taste, and enjoy the company of other women who appreciate fine wine and spirits. Join us- and enjoy life one glass at a time!

About Bethann Kendall

I am so very excited to introduce myself to you. As the Wine Buyer and Sales Lead for Vine & Table, I get the best of both worlds: Indulgence in my passion for wine AND the opportunity to share this passion with you. Just a few things you might want to know about me: I spent some of my early years in the fine dining industry and quickly learned I had a talent for pairing food and wine. It wasn’t long after that when I realized I needed to know anything and everything about my favorite beverage. The next logical step was the Sommelier program, which is an ongoing journey to both satisfy my personal growth and to exceed your expectations. follow me on twitter: twitter.com/vinovent
