best selling beer of 2011

Everything from IPAs to Stouts and Ciders, here are Nick’s Holiday Picks and Vine & Table’s 10 Best-Selling Beers of 2011:

Crispin Brownslane English Dry Cider 4pk This was by far our best-selling cider this year. Bittersweet, dry, and highly drinkable. A lightly sparkling, crisply effervescent cider made with traditional English bittersweet cider apples.

North Coast Acme IPA 6pk From the makers of Old Rasputin, this beer has become one of our best-selling IPAs in the last years. Hoppy in every sense.

Sun King Osiris Pale Ale 4pk An assertive American Pale and is not meant for the timid, Osiris blends three choice varieties of American hops to create a spicy, citrus hop punch that is sure to satisfy any hop head.

Bell’s Two Hearted 6pk A significant malt body balances this hop presence; together with the signature fruity aromas of Bell’s house yeast, this leads to a remarkably drinkable IPA.

Sun King Sunlight Cream Ale 4pk Sunlight Cream Ale is Sun King’s most approachable beer and is a great introduction to the world of Craft Beer. Silver Medal Winner at the 2010 World Beer Cup!

Sun King Wee Mac 4pk Sun King brews have been some of our best sellers since the day the cans showed up at the door.

Stone Arrogant Bastard 22oz The hops are explosive right from the start, along with a large dose of grapefruit and pine tastes. Serve as digestif or pairs well with savory, nutty cheeses like Asiago and Parmesan.

Duvel 750ml Produced with a series of warm and cold fermentations over a three month period; the result is fantastic, with flavors reminiscent of oranges, pear brandy, and apples.

New Belgium Fat Tire The depth of flavor pairs well with a full spectrum of cuisine. Smooth texture and woodsy flavor.

North Coast Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout 4pk Mocha, coffee, full bodied, and just enough hop bitterness to balance it out. This is our best-selling stout.

About Nick Axford

I am very excited to introduce myself as Vine & Table’s Beer Manager. Being from Northern Michigan, I have spent the last 6 years trying any beer I can get my hands on, from domestic, to craft, to specialty imports. Beer has always been a hobby of mine, tasting, collecting, home brewing, and even studying the history of beer in college. Having made my way to Indianapolis, I have turned my passion for beer into a career. I now have access to beers I know and love as well as new imports and micro-brews that I am very excited to share with you. I have already started revamping our beer cooler and introducing some new unique beers to our collection. I've also got a couple of great events for you this month, check them out below and the next time you are here, let’s crack a brew and find you something new!
